a lot like Christmas.
Three days ago we were saying goodbye to all our wordly goods which were packed into a huge container and onto a ship heading this way.
Two days ago we were in NL, hugging our friends and shedding more than few tears.
Now we are more than 8000 miles away in our new home of Portland, OR, USA!
Yesterday we ordered a turkey for Christmas feasting and received lots of parcels from Amazon.com (where I'd done a little advance Christmas shopping ).
Today we bought a gorgeous Christmas tree and all the decs to go with it (all ours of course are in said container) and we decked the halls in our new (temporary) home.
We are at last beginning to feel a little festive. Horrah!
It is just what I need after the weeks of planning and organising for this major move.
This evening I shall be kicking back with a delicous local Pinot Noir.
We made it all this way to start our new adventure and
what better way to start than with Christmas just around the corner.
Ho Ho Ho!
Cheers!
Wow! I am impressed that you managed to fit that move in!! I am also mildly jealous as I hear Portland is a great, great place. Have a really happy Christmas there Victoria and I shall look forward to hearing all about it in due course! Lou x
