favourite photos in our 2010 collection nr. 1

At the beginning of 2010 I took some time to look back through all the photographs we'd taken during 2009 - thank goodness for digital photography and my MacBook (I cannot imagine doing this if we had piles of printed photograpghs).

And, one year on that time has come again.  Even more choose from this year.  I've avoided posting all the ones taken of the kiddos!  And I'm really not fond of myself in photographs, but the one below is so special to me, so I've included it.

Anyhow, here are some of my very favourite photographs from 2010.  I'll post a few more next week.

We've been to the movies to see 'A Christmas Carol'.

And now we are home.

Snow is beginning to fall again.

The Moet is chilling in the fridge.

The Boeuf Bourguignonne is about to be made.

The fire is lit.

The candles are glowing.

The tree is sparkling.

We are warm and cozy and ready to see in the new year at home together.

In the Netherlands New Year's Eve is called Oudejaarsavond - Old Years Evening. We will be remembering the old year and welcoming the new.

Fireworks are BIG in the Netherlands at new year. The noise, the smoke, the colours and the sparks explode and light up the night sky - everywhere!

Wishing you happiness in whatever you do this evening.
