Holiday reading

I remember the days when I'd pack 3 or 4 books for a two week vacation and spend hours lying around in the sunshine reading one after another with barely a G&T break inbetween!  This time I packed...

'Dreams of my Father' by Barack Obama - for my next book club meeting.

And 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult - a birthday pressie that's been gathering dust for a while and that I'd like to read before the movie comes out this summer.

I also bought 'Three Cups of Tea' by Greg Mortensen & David Oliver Relin a few days ago - one I've been wanting to read for ages.

So far all I've done is flick through US Vogue!

What's your summer reading list up to?

  2. Summer reading list??? Woman, it's not because you've jumped the gun and taken your summer holiday at the tail end of winter that the rest of us are that far ahead! :-)

I am reading the first of the Millennium Trilogy just now. Sucks you right in. I LOVED Dreams of my Father. I read it during the week Obama got elected. What a good week that was.

Enjoy the reading and the holiday!

  3. My sisters keeper is a better book than it is a movie. The Obama book has been on my night stand for a year and a half! I will manage to read it one day:) The Help is next on my list!Enjoy your holiday! x LZ

  5. Hope you're still enjoying the sunshine.

Loads and loads of books on my nighstand(gosh what an old fashioned word) at the moment which will take me through summer. Here are a few:

Currently reading Naomi Alderman's The Lessons
Emily Woof - Whole Wide Beauty
Then Hilary Mantel - Wolf Hall

Then a stack of books on stage make up (novel research not planning on changing careers).

But I'll probably only manage to flick through Easy Living and Red!
