corner view 'school'

And so 6 weeks passed (hard to say if it felt like forever or passed in a blur) and the first day of school arrived.

The alarm clock was set for the first time in weeks at 7am.  Thirty minutes for me to get up, shower (I'm fast!) and get breakfast things out and one packed lunch made.  And guess what.  For the first time in those 6 weeks, I had to wake up Luca at 7.30am.  There has not been one morning in the whole school holidays where he has not woken up on his own between 7 and 7.30am !!  Please tell me that its not just my child who does this!

A beautiful sunny September day to start back at school.  I think we both needed it !!

And so with a new school lunch bag over his shoulder, a hug from little sister, and a 10 mins cycle ride to school in the morning sunshine, my growing boy started Group 4.

Once again, the school bike racks are full.

  2. You've got some cute kids there!

This year, I decided to get up at 6 AM on school days to enjoy some wabi sabi time before waking the rest of the family. I'll sit in a chair and read, write or just ponder about life in general and mine in particular. It turns out to be a wise decision.

  13. I wish I could say it is only your son who sleeps late on school days, but sadly, he's not alone in this. Why is it that children get up really, really early on Saturday and Sunday, and cover their heads with blankets Monday - Friday?

Such a sweet photo to add: sister hugging brother. Nice.

    Cheers~
