Despite the crazy amount of snow that fell in Scotland this past week, I did make it there (and back), with just short flight delays each way. My sister and I aslo managed to get the the hospital to be with my mum every day, although journeys too and from which normally take 15 mins were taking up to over an hour each way. But it was worth every minute to be with her, talk, make sure she was as comfortable as possible and just hold her hand. There is no easy way of saying this, but her time is limited and to just be together whenever possible is the most important thing now.
And here are a few images taken at my sister's home, of some of that snow that ground Scotland to a halt! The lowest temperature we recorded was -15°C. Brrrrrr!!!
It looks beautiful but very, very cold.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, how lovely - and I thought it was cold in London!! Glad you made it home though :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Week-end!
Victoria.....sorry, I misread your post, was too distracted by the blue skies of the photos :)

ReplyDeleteOh Victoria, I am sorry to hear about your mum. I am glad that you and your sister have been able to have some time with her; I'm sure she loves that. There is nothing that I can say that will make this difficult time easier; however, please know that I'm thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Courtney
Big hug to you. Must be so hard to be in a different country just now...
