friday update

Hello lovely blog friends. A whole week has passed since I was last here.

Despite the crazy amount of snow that fell in Scotland this past week, I did make it there (and back), with just short flight delays each way.  My sister and I aslo managed to get the the hospital to be with my mum every day, although journeys too and from which normally take 15 mins were taking up to over an hour each way.  But it was worth every minute to be with her, talk, make sure she was as comfortable as possible and just hold her hand.  There is no easy way of saying this, but her time is limited and to just be together whenever possible is the most important thing now.

Thank you so much for all your lovely warm wishes.

And here are a few images taken at my sister's home, of some of that snow that ground Scotland to a halt!  The lowest temperature we recorded was -15°C.  Brrrrrr!!!

  1. What beautiful photos, how lovely - and I thought it was cold in London!! Glad you made it home though :)

    Happy Week-end!

  2. Victoria.....sorry, I misread your post, was too distracted by the blue skies of the photos :)

It must have been a very tough visit home for you, I am so sorry to hear that....thinking of you xx

  3. Hi - sad to hear that your Mum is deteriorating; it must be really hard. Glad you made it through the snow though. Lou x

  4. Oh Victoria... I am so very sorry. Thinking of you and your mom. Hugs to you.

  5. Oh Victoria, I am sorry to hear about your mum. I am glad that you and your sister have been able to have some time with her; I'm sure she loves that. There is nothing that I can say that will make this difficult time easier; however, please know that I'm thinking of you.

    All the best,

  6. Big hug to you. Must be so hard to be in a different country just now...

Thanks for stopping by.
