lace coat

A month or so back, I posted a fabulous photograph of my mum and dad taken in Barcelona back in the 60s.  I'ts one of my favourites, and I had so many wonderful comments from you guys.

But I still had one photograph on my mind that I hadn't seen in a few years.  A particularly gorgeous outfit my mum was wearing at a friends wedding in the early 60s.  Well.... I found it whilst I was back home with my mum for the last time.

I just love this navy blue lace coat over her white satin dress.  The hat.  The sandals (I have a pair just like this).  She had all her special occasion dresses made for her personally.  How gorgeous does she look? What a fabulous couple.

    Hello! I'm sorry you've recently lost your Mum. What a lovely picture. My Mum died over ten years ago and she was very very ca,era shy and as a a result, I don't have many photos to share to my children. I have my memories I suppose. I'm sure they are a great comfort for you and they will be even more precious now.
