corner view 'on my wall'

This guy hangs proudly on my living room wall.  We went out shopping for a bookcase, and came home with him instead!   The following time we were out searching for the bookcase, we came home with a gorgeous Indian mirror!  On our next shopping trip we found the perfect bookcase. Third time lucky as they say!

For celebrations like Christmas or birthdays, he always gets to wear a Santa or party hat or have twinkling lights around his horns!

Thanks to Elsa for today's theme.  For more Corner Views, take a look at Francesca's blog.

  1. Wow! what a beast!
In our family there's a similar story about buying bookcases. My father in law wanted to buy one and came back with an antique pianoforte - you couldn't play it, but it was beautiful. And, after all, you can put books piles everywhere, even on pianofortes. Have a nice evening with CV!

  3. Nice story. In fact, it's a beautiful support to install Christmas garlands. It reminds me of the reindeer in "The Strange Christmas of Mister Jack";)

  6. Waow impressive ! In French, we say "jamais deux sans trois" that is, if you did something 2 times, the third time you will do it again... not sure you'll come home with a bookcase the next time ;-)

  7. Wow, I wonder what you'd come home with when you shop for, say, a dining room table :) Maybe on the holidays you'll show us a picture of your friend sporting garlands or hats :)

  12. Much more interesting than a bookcase, I say. Besides, you can find a bookcase any old day.
