down on the farm

We had a little visit to friends' farm on Sunday morning.

Luca ate his weight in marionberries and champagne raspberries and Ruby collected all kinds of fabulous heirloom tomatoes.  We came home with Asian pears, various varieties of apples, zucchini, green beans, cucumbers and little cantelope melons!  Nothing better than picking your own.

Inbetween all the food gathering, the kiddos fed the chickens grain and the horses carrots.  And the two dogs hadn't had so much fun running and fetching - they must have been truely exhausted.

The farm was proclaimed 'best farm ever' and they (we) can't wait for the next visit to bring home pumpkins, eggplant, artichoke, peppers and a dozen eggs from those industrious chickens!

Hope you had a great weekend.
