Sprout Organic Baby Food

We were vacationing in Florida earlier this year when Ruby was just 7 months old and transitioning from milk to solids. I discovered a fabulous brand of organic baby food at the local store - Sprout Organic Baby Food. The Co-Founder and Chef of Sprout is Tyler Florence, a regular fixture on the Food Network, author of 5 books, restauranteur and father of 3 - so well equipped I would say!
I loved the packaging. Pouches that are re-sealable, produced with a strong commitment to the environment, safe for food processing, and unique. The ingredients are all certified organic, with no artificial colours, preservatives or flavours. And the flavours are delicious - Roasted Butternut Squash, Roasted Bananas, Sweet Peas (in the 6 months + range which has one ingredient) and Peach Rice Pudding, Oatmeal with Roased Cinnamon Applesauce, Baked Sweet Potatoes and White Beans (in the 7 months + range which have 2 or more ingredients). They contain no milk, nuts, egg, soy, wheat, gluten, fish or shellfish. The pouches are also not for use in microwaves (food can be consumed cold, or warmed in hot water).
Ruby loved the sweet potato and we ended up buying loads to bring back home to Europe (perfect for inflight meals). As far as I know, Sprout is not yet available in Europe, but I am hopeful that will change at some point (although Ruby will sadly miss out then).
