In-flight poetry

Huzz was recently on a flight from Amsterdam to Dubai. On arriving, he sent me a text / sms message saying this:
Quando sono lontano
E tu sei lontana
Sogno al l'infinito
E le parole mi mancano
E io lo so
Que tu sei con me
Tu sei tutto per me
E sarai sempre con me.
Translates to:
When I'm away
And you are far
I dream to the horizon
And words fail me
And yes, I know
You are with me
You are my everything
Always with me.

Well, first I wondered who was teaching him such romantic Italian on that flight! Then he kindly informed me that it was printed on the in-flight lunch box by the Italian food makers Bertolli.
I hope someone else received this from their partner away on yet another business trip.
Some may say corny. I say lovely. What say you?

  1. Very beautiful! I had to let out a chuckle when you said he got it off the box! I don't think it's corny at all. I think it's sweet.

  2. The Italians are such hopeless romantics! I love the little poems in Bacio wrappers.
    Lovely!
