A little buff and smooth

The heating has been blasting out for months and we've been snuggled somewhere under layers of warm clothes.  But now the sun is here.  Summer is just around the corner.  It's the time for dresses and skirts and therefore showing our naked limbs again.  Aarrrrr !!!   Time for a little buff and smooth don't you think?

Mimi Grace Make Up and Beauty blog has just recommended a super body scrub to  get us all buffed ready for summer. - Flake Away Soap & Glory.   With scents of bergamot, mandarin, musk, and amber this sounds a delight.  Sadly I don't think its sold here in NL - but horrah for online ordering eh!

But there's no time to waste.  So in the meantime whilst I await the arrival of my Flake Away, I picked up the Body Shop's new range of Sweet Lemon products (tag line Lemon aid for skin) - body scrub, body butter and shower gel.   What a lovely soft smell of summer and a real body treat, without being too overpowering or zingy!  The soft sweet lemon scent is enough to wake you up in the shower, and the scrub is sugar based with lemon oil and sorts out the tired winter skin perfectly.  The butter finishes things of nicely and my legs are looking a little more ready for a public appearance.

Any getting ready for summer tips to share?

  1. Oooh this sounds really summery and fresh! I might have to pop in on my way out today to try it out. The Body Shop has always been great, it is like a little cave full of treats.

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog. What a summery post for my first visit here! Apparently we are due a mini-heat wave over here, and the weather is beautiful. My legs have been hidden under jeans for almost a year. I dread to think what will emerge if I put a skirt on. I definitely need to invest in some lovely products!

It is funny that we're doing similar things yet we're so far apart. :)

  7. hi deer baby - I hadn't been to BS for years either, but last year started using it olive products - body butter, shampoo, scrub and thought they were pretty good. The lemon stuff is good for summer I think. I also uses masses of the almond oil rescue hand cream.

hi Kelly - I love an orangey polish as well. My fav is almost gone so I need to be on the look out for another. Hope you get yours.
