In search of summer

I've joined Mary over at The Yellow Door Paperie in search of the beginnings of summer around the world.  Any little sign of summeryness puts a smile on my face.   This Sunday it was more like autumn though - chilly, wet and grey the whooooole day.

Still, last week we enjoyed the sun and being outdoors on a few days.  Here's a few little signs that summer might be on its way in our neck of the woods.
A well used sandbox (and a good trudging of sand through the house to go with it.

Fun in the park on a sunny Friday evening.

And the first Clematis in the garden.

  4. No sign of summer here. Pouring with rain. First day of winter. Sigh. At least I have all the sunny blogs from the other side of the world to lighten my day.

  7. Summer? I have no idea what that is! It's been cold and rainy here for weeks, now. We had it briefly back in April, but nothing since.
Glad to see you it hasn't passed you by.

  9. so fun! We have been spending some time by the pool. The kiddos are old enough that i dont have to be in the water with them just by it. Now if only we could ride our bikes to the pool...
