I've had this torn out page from a magazine hanging around on my desk for a while now (you can see the folds on the scanned page). I keep looking at it and dreaming of waking up in that bed, warm and toasty in those soft blankets, with daylight coming in through the window and snow outside. Usually I love crispy white bedlinen and a duvet, but this bed looks so inviting with the layered blankets. And I love this simple, rustic style so much, especially this time of year, don't you?
This weekend we shall finally be having Luca's 8th birthday party (6 children at an indoor rock climbing centre, cakes, treats and all the usual fun), and we shall also be going to our first Christmas party. And I do hope we can find our perfect Christmas tree too.

We still haven't gotten our tree. We wanted to go into the woods and cut our own, but it's been storming here. Oh well. Maybe next weekend.
