One is flavoured with Hibiscus (you can see that caught my eye straight away!). The other with Mediterranean herbs. The flavour of both is wonderful.
The company, Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc, harvests the salt flats on a 3.5 km beach in southeast Mallorca, and it is now one of the star products from the Balleric Islands. My little pots have just 10 gr. of salt in, but they are available in very pretty 150 gr tins online at Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc with wonderful names like Olivas Negra, Rosa and Sri Lanka, and limited editions of salts flavoured with Beetroot, Paprika, Orange & Chilli, Tomato & Sea Fennel or Lemon & Lavender. They all sound delicious. Such a lovely gift (to yourself or a friend) don't you think?
How lovely! I always find that there is not enough variety to choose from when it comes to salt in London, so I usually bring some home from vacations. These would be nice to bring home...
ReplyDeleteI would be over the moon to receive one of these as a gift - lovely. Pretty colours too.
ReplyDeleteMediterranean herbs! One of favorite smells in the world. These are lovely salts.
