No lie in this Sunday morning. At 6.30am I was up and ready to go for my first ever official 8k run. What a better way to begin my 'running career' than at the 35th Shamrock Run here in Portland. And not a better person to run with than my lovely Irish friend Mary.
What started as a cold dark morning, turned into blue skies and sunshine. Music from local bands and cheers from the crowds made this event so much fun. And the people watching was priceless. I doubt there were many people not wearing something in emerald green.
Mary and I did a great run. The weeks or training paid off and the 8k flew by without any trouble. Maybe next year we'll go for the 15K!
Hope you had a fun St Patrick's Day.
That would have been a fun run. I am doing the Color Run in two weeks. I am sure I will come in last, but I can't wait for them to throw all the colors at me! Have a great week!
