my summer essentials ....

There are certain things that I speak summer to me...

A basket filled with beach towels, swimsuits and sunlotion ready and waiting to hit the pool or head to the beach

and 

All kinds of fresh berries (atop of a crumbly, chewy Pavlova!)
or
Wonderful salted caramel icecream

Perfectly pedicured toes - preferrably in a gorgeous orangey colour (so good with lightly tanned feet)

The scent of Jasmine in the evening whilst sitting outside on the deck.

Water play of any kind for the kiddos.

Today we filled loads of mini water balloons

and the kids had friends over, running around outside, getting soaked. And as if they weren't wet enough, the garden hose was turned on and they danced under the pouring water.

Doors and windows flung open wide and a cool breeze

Greek Salad - the perfect summer taste and wonderful memories of vacations on Greek islands.

Iced water with lemon and cucumber slices

and 

Chilled Prosecco (with a few raspberries added)

Weekends camping
(oh if only it were this glamorous!)

White shirts and t-shirts.

Sunglasses on almost permanently.

Havaianas / White Converse with almost everything.

Dresses, dresses and more dresses.

A few favourite very old ones that are soft, faded and still look great.

Maxi dresses (never any other time of the year).

Orange (I find I wear a lot of orangey colours - only in summer).
