We don't appear to have any dust clouds or ash hanging over us from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull that's causing so much disruption here in Europe. We've had just a big beautiful blue sky and lots of sunshine for 2 whole days! Sunglasses are out. Kiddos are playing the sandpit in the garden (= sand throughout the house!). Windows and French doors are open. Bikes rides. Eating lunch outside. Long may it continue.
We have some beautiful deep pink gerbera and also deep purple hyacinths in the house. The scent from the hyacinths hits you as you walk in the front door. With such a blue sky, Huzz couldn't resist taking them outside for a photo shoot yesterday. Enjoy.
oh, lovely colors!
ReplyDeletehere the same !.... it was a wonderful week end in France too ! the description you wrote is also so cute ! have a nice day !
ReplyDeleteLovely colours. I love the smell of hyacinths.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having great weather - was wondering whether the ash cloud would have affected you over there. Glorious blue skies here too!
what beautiful pictures. The ash does seem to be causing chaos but I had a great weekend in London and the lack of planes seemed to make it kind of magical- it was so much quieter and more peaceful- and is it a coincidence there have been no clouds since it happened?!
ReplyDeleteWow they are beautiful ! I have lovely blue hyacinths in my window boxes in deep dark London - I told the children that after a long, bleak, grim winter as soon as we see a hyacinth we are on the way to Spring. I've been going quite nuts with the little ones too- muscari I think. I must take a photo of them. We just planted loads of sweet peas. Thanks !
ReplyDeletelovely flower pics. spring does seem to bring out the kid in all of us. and apparently the "vog" (volcano fog) has a silver lining for some! enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Here we are enjoying sunny days and autumn leaves. Only the roses are very confused, continuing to flower because the weather is so warm. Short sleeves in April. Sometimes I love Australia. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose colors are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI have hyacinths planted on either side of my front door. When I walk outside the scent brings back memories of childhood.
Where's your CV?!? We've had a (long) series of cloudy days, and I love it how the locals are now blaming the volcano (instead of, say, the location, the latitude, meteorology, the sky ...). Personally, I blame all of the above:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!! I've been wondering how you all were fairing up there. Glad to hear...
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the spring too! Lovely photos again.
