After last weekend's non-event going to Scotland to see my mum and sister, I am again trying this weeekend. However, this time I shall travel alone. And, I'm just a little excited about that!
Just hopping on the train to Amsterdam Schipol, popping to Starbucks and wandering around the terminal alone will be refreshing. Travelling light with no bag to check in. No little one to worry about. No busy boy running off to look for the planes or seeing what he'd like in the shops. I do love my little crew, but I shall cherish these few hours alone.
And I'm of course looking forward to seeing my mum. Taking her out to lunch on Saturday. Afternoon tea on Sunday. Helping her around the house and garden with any jobs she needs doing. Showing her my blog and photos of the kiddos. A short trip, but worth it for all these little reasons.

ReplyDeleteAt Schiphol, I always stop to have one of the delicious salmon sandwiches at the sushi bar in the middle of the departures hall. Mmm - my mouth is watering just at the thought of it.
