A few little Orange facts for you...
Orange is the colour of the Dutch royal family.
The House of Orange, dates back to Willem I van Oranje.
The Dutch wear the colour orange to symbolise their nationality and pride.
The whole country turns orange on Queen's Day (Koninginnedag) every year.
The Dutch national football team is known as Oranje.
And we have beautiful orange flowers here in NL too.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely L.o.v.e. orange roses! My Papa used to grow them. Yes, orange is everywhere in Holland - I suppose it brings a bit of brightness to grey days in winter. Cheers~
