spicy pumkin hummus

I tried this delicious hummus at a food tasting at New Seasons, my favourite local store.  It has the perfect flavour for autumn, with a little spicy kick too.

1 can (14oz) pumpkin puree (or puree from a fresh pumpkin)
1 can (14 oz) chickpeas - drained and rinsed
3 tbls tahini
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
2 tbls olive oil
2 tbls lemon juice
Salt & Pepper

In a food processor, process the chickpeas and pumpkin puree, until fairly smooth.  Add remaining ingredients and process to the consistency you like (smooth or a little more chunky both work). Season to taste.  Serve with pita chips, carrots, celery, crackers etc.  Its my favourite lunch this week, spread on my Huzz's delicious bead.

Enjoy!
